Thiel Gallery

Ernest Thiel was a banker and art collector. His art collection was so extensive and in the 1920's was forced to sell his art collection to the Swedish Government. In 1926 the Thielska Galleriet was opened to the public.

Not only are there works by Swedish artists such as Carl Larsson and Bruno Liljefors but also Edvard Munch, Toulouse Lautrec, Paul Gauguin and Andre Lhote! What a collection!
