Blomkvist entry to his apartment

Our group and tour guide Mia (in the black)

Views from Maria Island Blomkvist lived

Grafiti artist wasp in honour of Lisbeth

In the Swedish movie, this was the 7-Eleven where Lisbeth bought her billy's pizza. In the US movie this is where Blomvkist drank coffee. During the film making of the US movie, Michael Nyqvist's daughter was to pour the coffee for Daniel Craig. Michael thought he's pay a visit to the set and was let in to see his daughter. Apparently, this was not well received by Fincher.

Where Lisbeth gets her ankle tatoo after the rape.

Maria Square where the car chase occurred in the US version.  Apparently this is one of the squares in Stockholm where public executions and floggings were not allowed.

Opposite is the Rival hotel owned by Benny Andersson ABBA

The cast of Mamma Mia posed on this very balcony

Walking to Lisbeth's apartment...it was once the walk of convicted fellons on the way to execution. You were allowed one last drink before you met your maker.

Lisbeth's is the top floor appartment. In the US version of the film Lisbeth is seen riding her motorbike in this area and Fincher made fake snow as it was the wrong time of year....unfortunately, the trees have leaves with snow on them which is a slight oversight as trees in Sweden in winter lose their leaves.

There is a reference in the books to this fountain, entitled, the Systrarna in Mosebacke torg
